All-time leaderboards

Formula 1 all-time records

The records that define Formula 1: most Grand Prix wins, most World Championships, most podiums, most pole positions and most race starts. Every leaderboard covers the whole history of the championship since 1950, and every name links to that driver’s full career page.

Most F1 race wins of all time

Grand Prix victories across a full career. Wins are the headline record in Formula 1 and the one most often used to compare drivers across eras, even though season lengths have more than doubled since the 1950s.

Know the records? Prove it.

SpeedGrids is a free daily Formula 1 trivia grid built on exactly this data — nine cells, two clues each, name a driver who matches both. The Legends mode leans hardest on all-time records.

F1 records: frequently asked questions

Who has the most wins in F1 history?
Lewis Hamilton holds the all-time record for Formula 1 Grand Prix victories, ahead of Michael Schumacher and Max Verstappen. The full top 25 is listed above.
Who has the most F1 World Championships?
Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher are tied on seven drivers’ titles each. Juan Manuel Fangio is third with five, won across the 1950s.
Who has the most pole positions in F1?
Lewis Hamilton holds the pole position record by a wide margin. Poles are the purest measure of single-lap pace, separate from race results.
Are these records all-time or current season?
All-time. Every leaderboard on this page covers the full history of the Formula 1 World Championship since 1950, and updates when the underlying dataset is refreshed.
Do these totals include sprint races?
No. Counts cover World Championship Grands Prix — sprint results are not included in win, podium or pole totals here, which matches how the sport reports its historical records.
